Terms of Use
The rules of the road while Kin is in private beta.
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of Kin, the AI chat service operated by Interiority Labs ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Kin.
The service
Kin is an AI chat application currently in private beta. Its defining feature is a private journal: the AI's inner thoughts are written inside a hardware-sealed enclave that no one — including us — can read. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time as we develop it.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Kin. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Kin for anything unlawful, or to violate anyone else's rights.
- Attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent the enclave, the attestation mechanism, or other users' data isolation.
- Abuse the service: spam, automated scraping, denial-of-service, or reselling access without our permission.
- Upload or solicit content that is illegal, such as CSAM — we will report it and terminate the account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
About AI outputs
Kin is designed to have opinions, a personality, and private thoughts. That is the point — and it means its replies can be wrong, inappropriate, or surprising. Do not treat Kin's outputs as professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise). You are responsible for your own decisions.
Your content
You keep all rights to the messages you send. You grant us a limited license to process them inside our confidential-computing infrastructure solely to operate the service — as described in our Privacy Policy. We claim no ownership over your conversations.
Our intellectual property
The Kin name, site design, and service infrastructure are ours (portions are open source under Apache 2.0 at github.com/Interiority-Inc/kin). The private-journal system prompt is proprietary. Don't copy the service or misrepresent yourself as us.
Disclaimers
Kin is provided "as is", in beta, without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. The enclave architecture is designed so private thoughts cannot be read, but no security system is absolute.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Interiority Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Kin. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service — which, during the free beta, is zero.
Termination
You can stop using Kin at any time and delete your conversations in the app. For full account deletion, email pablosanzo@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced with an updated date above; continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
